- Our screen is probably over thirty years old and is literally falling
apart.
- Our goal is to replace this screen with a motorized screen that can be
remotely activated.
3
- Our current sound system was found under the stage in this condition.
- It was purchased over 15 years ago.
- Now, it is just a jumble of cables and ready for the trash heap.
4
- All of our spotlights are unserviceable, or have been removed.
- This light is well over 40 years old.
5
- Our speaker system is over 15 years old.
- This is one of two speakers that serve the entire auditorium.
- Our goal is to have a complete surround speaker system.
6
- Our stage floor is in need of renovation.
- It is badly pitted and in need of new varnish.
7
- There is only one network outlet for the entire auditorium.
- This is located on the East wall in the cafeteria half of the
auditorium.
- Wireless access will be added with the renovation.
8
- Chairs are stored underneath the stage.
- These wood-backed folding chairs are over 40 years old.
- They are extremely uncomfortable.
- If we purchase new chairs, we’re thinking of different storage options
so that the under stage area can be used to store other items such as
art supplies, musical instruments etc.
9
- A ceiling-mounted XGA projector will allow students to view everything
from movies to PowerPoint Presentations.
- The projector will be controlled remotely from a console on the side of
the auditorium.
10
- The rear of the stage is a hodge-podge of cabinets and storage
containers.
- One of our goals is to see what needs to be removed.
11
- Currently, the west and east walls are decorated with a mural.
- Some have questioned whether the mural should stay.
12
- A folding curtain separates the front of the auditorium with the rear
cafeteria/SAY section of the auditorium.
- With the curtain open, our auditorium can accommodate close to 400
people.
13
- There was discussion that we could perhaps use this space for chair
storage thus freeing up storage space under the auditorium stage for
other things such as musical
instruments, science or art materials.
