ABOUT OUR FOUNDATION

The Sunset View Foundation (SVF) was formed in October of 1991 as a non-profit corporation by the staff of Sunset View and 17 volunteer parents (now 29) whose purpose was to raise additional money, separate from the PTA, to supplement and enrich our school's curriculum.

Over the years, the Foundation has helped fund in whole or in part:

· A wonderful new grass athletic field on the lower playground...Charger Field

· Student learning through technology by purchasing educational software and over 100 computers including a maintenance contract and supplies to keep them running

· Three playground structures for use by students at recess and PE

· World Language program resources such as books in Spanish

· Library books

· Art materials and supplies

· Poetry instruction

· A six week dance program taught by professional dancers.

· Science materials

· And much more…..

Through hard work, passion and dedication our Foundation has made significant contributions to our school community. The teachers and staff are proud to work in partnership with the Foundation and look forward to collaborating on future projects to enhance and enrich the educational experience of our students.
