San Diego Unified School District
(SDUSD) allows students to attend a school other than their
neighborhood school through the Choice Program, on a space
available basis and transportation must be provided by
parents/guardians. The School Choice Program allows
students to apply to any school within the San Diego Unified
School District, with the exception of Magnet Schools.

is available at the Sandburg Elementary School front office in
English and Spanish only.
To check if your address is within Sandburg Elementary School
boundary, please go to Boundary Lookup/School Finder. If your
address is outside Sandburg boundary and you prefer to
enroll your child at Sandburg Elementary School, please fill
out an
Enrollment Options Application and
mail it to the address on the form, fax it to the number
provided, hand it to Sandburg Elementary School front office or
you may
apply directly online. Please read and follow the
Applications Directions carefully.
Applications for school year
2008-2009 is now being accepted. Applications received between
October 1 and January 31 are considered priority and will be
offered enrollment before all later applications. All
applications received during this time period will be entered
into the Enrollment Options system. Applications are given a
computer generated random number. Grade level, ranked listed
will be sent to schools in March.
Applications received after
January 31 will receive no priorities and will be added to the
lists by the date and time received and subsequent lists will be
sent to schools. All students who applied on or before January
31 will be offered enrollment before the after January 31
applicants.
