November 2008
October was a busy month
for us. First, I want to thank Abby B., Kris T., Glenda A., Robin F.,
plus a few others who dropped in to help out with Fall picture day. I
think it went very well. Next, we had Red Ribbon week. Thanks to
Debbie Raynor and Sabrina for putting that on. Lastly, we had a
marvelous Fall Carnival. Nina Haynes did an excellent job as Chairman
of that event. It was a really successful event for us and it took a
lot of volunteers to pull it off. Thanks to EVERYONE who helped out!!
Wow, it's November and
the Holidays are coming quickly. November is a very short month for
school days. We have November 11th off for Veterans Day. Please
remember to honor a veteran and thank them for our freedom. The
following week is minimum days all week for Parent-Teacher Conferences.
Then, we have Thanksgiving Vacation as the last week of the month.
That adds up to 8 regular school days, 7 minimum days and 5 days off for
vacation...Can you handle it?? That's the good news. The bad
news is report cards are coming out this month and just what do you think
your teacher will be talking to your parents about during the conferences?
Hmmmm? Just kidding! My point is always do your personal best!!
Make the best of every day!! Especially when we have such a short
month of school days.
