Financial Aid Informati on
Takes you to some of the many financial aid pages available for parents and students.

The COIN3 web site is a great tool when you need specific information on a career including the average salary in San Diego (over 400 careers arelisted in the database). It also provides a nationwide listing of colleges and links to college web sites.
Make sure you use Internet Explorer to access this web site. The URL listed will take you to the login page.

Takes you to the home page of CollegeBoard.com. Site also offers information onavailable scholarships as well as financial aid. An invaluable reference source.
ACT Home Page:
Takes you to the American College Testing (ACT) web site.
Tutor Cafe
Takes you to a web site where you can get that "extra help" on just about any subject. An excellent source for all students!
The California College Explorer
Takes you to the ultimate online catalog of California's Institutions of Higher Education! Here you can get valuable information such as academics, financial aid and career information offered by all of the major colleges in California.
US News College Info
Takes you to the official education pages of the US News web site. Here you can get information on colleges such as rankings as well as other related information.
CSU Mentor
This web site provides a comprehensive guide to the 23 campuses that comprise the California State University system.
UC Pathways
Takes you to the on-line admission information and application network of the University of California's College system.
SDSU's UPWAR D BOUND / TRIO Pages
Takes you to the Community-based TRIO Program pages at the SDSU Web Server. The TRIO programs are designed to help youth prepare for college. Their focus is on developing college survival skills and career awareness through a variety of activities.

COLLEGE REPRESENTATIVE VISITS

Students:
You are advised to sign up in the Counseling Office at least two days in advance of the meeting you wish to attend. Have your teacher sign the yellow request form. Bring this signed form to the meeting. Permission to attend any college representative meeting is subject to teacher approval.
Starting in September, colleges will be at PLHS for individual contacts with college representatives. All students need to come to the counseling office to get form for permission to attend from your teacher. You will not be able to attend without prior approval!

CAL-SOAP
The California Student Opportunity and Access program, otherwise known as CAL-SOAP, is a post secondary information and enrichment program. Our goal is to provide information about post secondary education and financial aide, and raise the achievement levels of students from low income families, schools or geographic areas with documented low-eligibility or college-participation rates, or families in which they would be the first to attend college.

Please remember during this very busy semester and year there are resources available. For the Early Outreach Program at UCSD we have an Outreach Counselor available.

Tutoring Schedules:
Library Tutoring:Monday through Thursday, 2:15-3:00 p.m.
CSF Tutoringis available in most subject areas for all Point Loma High School students who need academic assistance. A schedule for tutoring will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
