25 — Special Education Forum, 1 p.m., Auditorium, Eugene Brucker Education Center, 4100 Normal Street. Dr. Tom Hehir will discuss his recently completed report on Special Education in the San Diego Unified School District. Parents, staff and community members can also learn about Specialized Academic Instruction and changes in special education placement terminology. 20 — Cox Presents A Salute to Teachers, 7 p.m., Balboa Theater, 868 Fourth Avenue (92101). The 35th annual San Diego County Teacher of the Year Awards, a black tie, live television production with the audience seated by 6:45. 27 — Crawford High 50th Anniversary Celebration Gala, 5-10 p.m., Crawford High Educational Complex, 4191 Colts Way (92115). Calling all Colts… you’re invited to an evening of good food and fun to celebrate the school’s golden anniversary.
