Proposition “S” is a $2.1 billion bond measure that the San Diego Unified School District Board of Education is placing before the voters on the November 4, 2008 ballot. If approved by 55% of the voters, Proposition “S” will:

Provide bond funds for the repair and renovation of district facilities specified in the ballot measure.

Extend the current Proposition ”MM” tax rate ($66.70 per $100,000 assessed value of taxable property), which expires in 2029, to 2044. This new bond will not increase the current tax..
