What brought you to San Diego? |
The beach and a teaching job brought me to San Diego. I love living here even though I grew up singing,"...so let's root, root, root for the Dodgers..." at ball games and cheering for the Rams. (I now root for the Padres and Chargers, by the way.) I enjoy going out with friends, reading books, and taking our dog for walks. San Diego is a beautiful city to call home. |
| How long have you taught in the Scripps Ranch community? |
| When I first came to Scripps Ranch, I was a 6th grade teacher at Miramar Ranch. That was in 1990. Since then I have been a fifth grade teacher and then first. Now I am a second grade teacher here at Jerabek. |
| Other facts . . . |
| My mother is a piano teacher. I grew up playing the piano and flute. In high school, our band played in the Rose Parade twice. The furthest I’ve traveled is to Brazil. I studied Spanish in high school and Portuguese in college. I do not know how to speak Chinese although I tried to learn it once. When I was at UCLA I was an English composition tutor for UCLA and I tutored Reggie Miller (Indiana Pacers). That’s my claim to fame besides being my sons’ mom! |
