Writing:

Student writing is evaluated on a rubric which ranges from the following four designations: below basic, basic, proficient, and advanced. Student achievement on the rubrics is based on state standards for writing. For specific information, check the K-8 writing rubric link above.

Math:

Throughout the year, students will be assessed on math modules. These modules are currently in draft form and are used district-wide. The information gained from the math module assessments is valuable in showing student approaches and thinking about problem solving. Math modules are evaluated on the following four designations: below basic, basic, proficient, and advanced. Scores on the module assessments are not used to determine final grades, however, the module assessments do provide key indicators whether or not the student is grasping the information.
