Holmes Elementary continues to work on adding school day and after school enrichment programs.
School - Day Enrichment Programs
Choral Music
The PTA is currently seeking a
choral music instructor who will
work with our K-3rd classrooms. We
are hoping to start this program in
early Oct. This age group will have
music once per week.
Guitar Classes
Mr. Mooneyham taught guitar to our
upper grades last year. He returned
to campus on Sept. 19, and will again
be instructing all of our 4th, 5th
and 6th graders on Fridays this year. Additionally, we are working on more after-school enrichment programs
Junior theatre
The popular after-school drama program started up again on Sept. 24. Classes will
be held on Wed., 1:30-3 p.m. Two more sessions will run in the spring, so please
contact me if you would like to be included in the email list for future program
updates.
VAPA Volunteer Needed
Young Rembrandt is an after-school art program that came to our campus for the
first time last spring. The instructors are ready to return this fall, but we need a
parent volunteer who can commit to bring on campus during these 6 or 8 week
sessions. Class time would be 3:30-4:30 p.m on Tuesdays and they could start as
soon as we find that dedicated parent. Please contact me if you could take this
on, or would like to know more about the program.
