Green Lunchtimes 2007-2008:
K—11:45 to 12:20
1st & 2nd—12:10 to 12:30
3rd—11:35 to 11:55
4th & 5th—11:50 to 12:10
If you want your child to eat the school breakfast and/or lunch regularly, we recommend paying one month’s worth in advance, as loose change gets lost or misplaced. When purchasing 20 lunches, you receive one additional lunch free.
How can you pay for cafeteria meals?
- Cash or check (made payable to “Green School”)
When sending money for lunch to school, please put it in a sealed envelope with the student’s name, room number, and teacher name on the envelope. If you have more than one child and wish to write one check for all, indicate on the envelope how you wish the money divided among the individual student’s accounts.
- Credit Card (Visa or Master Card)
Green Elementary uses the Parent Account Management System (PayPams) to accept credit card payments. You can either call PayPams at 858-627-7330 between 7:30am & 3:00pm or pay online. If you set up an account online with PayPams, it'll take a few days for your child's cafeteria account balance to appear on the website. As your child's account balances gets low, your child or your child's teacher (for the younger students) should receive a notice from the Green cafeteria.
Lunch loans are not available. However, when your child forgets his/her lunch, we will offer a nutritious snack of milk and crackers (provided by the PTA). Even if your child brings lunch from home, it is a good idea to put a small amount of money in the account at school to cover the inevitable time when lunch has been left behind. Students will be provided a lunch money reminder slip when their account is running low.
All students who enroll at Green School are issued a personal identification number (PIN) to access the computer system used by the cafeteria. These numbers remain the same from year-to-year. New students will have a PIN assigned prior to the first day of school. Classroom teachers will assist students in memorizing their numbers. The teacher will assist kindergarten students with this process.
An application for re-certification or new certification for free or reduced price meals is included in the packet of information sent home the first day of school. A new application must be filled out for each school year.
