While there is no question a good education is an integral part of a successful future, a traditional high school education does not always fit with every student's educational needs. Some students need an alternative to conventional schools; perhaps they need smaller classes and more individualized attention, or perhaps they have children to care for in addition to their studies. Many times it is impossible for these students to get the kind of support they need at a traditional school. That is where Garfield High School comes in.
Our school has many opportunities to offer a dedicated student. A quick summary of the programs we offer are:
City Middle College (CMC)/ Joint Diploma Program (JDP)
Culinary ROP Course
ORACLE Located on our 4th Floor which is more of an independent study program
GENESIS Program which is our student recruiting program; to allow a more successful transition into our school.
HSDP which is Located at the Back end of our campus (not accessible from our site, its annexed)
We also have an Expectant Teen Center (ETC)
