Dear Doyle Families,

My name is Irene Hightower and I am so pleased to be the new Vice Principal at Doyle Elementary.  Ms. Clausen, the former Vice Principal, is now the Principal at Juarez Elementary.  We wish her the best of luck and know she will do great things there!

I appreciate the warm welcome I have received from all the students, staff and families at Doyle!  It is always difficult to start something new like coming to a new school, being in a new grade, or having a new teacher.  But being able to come to such a positive place everyday wipes away any fears for anyone, including me. 

We have such wonderful things planned for our students and families here at Doyle.  We hope that everyone gets a chance to participate in activities like Super Stars, Caught Being Good Breakfast, Dad’s Donut Day, and Mom’s Muffin Day, just to name a few.  We also want families to be involved with our PTA, Student Council, School Site Council, and Governance Team to help make Doyle a great place to be every day!  Research shows that students who have parents that stay involved and connected to their children’s education do better in school.  That is very clear at Doyle when you see the learning that goes on in the classrooms and the test scores of our students.
